When I received the box of Pentel Arts oil pastels, I first admired the diversity of colors and above all I had a desire to use them all! My illustrator name is "anything but beige", that means what it means...I love color and I think that more than ever, we need it in our current lives. In my illustration work, I have a soft spot for birds...as a result, parrots quickly imposed themselves on me! They perfectly represent this moment of exchange, of colorful, almost musical chatter with the public. I hope viewers feel as much joy watching my drawing as I had creating it! Stéphanie Le Begge has been an illustrator and graphic designer for many years. She has collaborated with several publishing houses for young people such as Thierry Magnier, Auzou... her illustration work within Everything but Beige is colorful and often naive. Recently she decided to also start painting again and explores the limits between abstraction and illustration, which creates quite poetic dreamlike paintings.
